I don’t know if anyone knows this song but it’s so good!!! I absolutely love the beat and the lyrics to it. But Beyonce better watch out cause lady gaga is bisexual. Im pretty sure Beyonce is not like that. And it would be really werird if Lady gaga tried anything on her…lol. Although I think Lady Gaga is pretty amazing with her music and music videos. Anyway…I really hope they play this song at prom, which is this Saturday!!!!!!!!!!! But it might be really difficult to dance in the dress I have considering it has a train and over half of it is beaded so I want to be very careful with it!!! I have a hair appointment Saturday at 2 in the afternoon, which is an hour before we all meet at the park in kidder for pictures, then we leave at 3:30 for Abuelos at the Zona Rosa. Problem is there have been some rumors that it is supposed to rain the day of promL im just super stoked to wear my dress and for the free food at prom and after prom…lol. And after prom with all the fun activities!!!!!!!! Whooohooo. Im so freakin excited if you cant tell.

Today was an exciting day for me. At 11:30, I got the privilege to sign with Jennifer Croy and the lady pirates for North Central Missouri College in Trenton, MO. It was a very great experience getting to sign the piece of paper that states I am going to play basketball for them in the season 2010-2011. Fundraising starts June 9-10. The reason we fund raise is because in December the team goes to Florida for about five days and play two games of basketball while we’re down there. I hope when the season and games start that I will see some of my local Hamilton fans at a couple of games. Thank you everyone for all your support, I could of never made it this far without you!!!!!!!

So…it is March 31, 2010. That means 28 days left of school, not including weekends or our days off, for all SENIORS AND PENNEY HIGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got our cap and gowns yesterday, FINALLY and that is just making it better and better knowing that we only have a little time to spend getting up early for classes every morning. At least in college I wont have any morning classes and hopefully be able to sleep in till at least 8 on weekdays. But, also knowing that there are not very many days till Gallatin’s prom, or Hamilton’s. Gallatin’s is next weekend, the 10th and I have yet to get my dress. I think my mom is taking me shopping all day Friday considering that is when we have our spring break. So I really hope I find a good, nice, elegant dress somewhere in the city. Also, I still need to get a mask for April 24th, Hamilton’s. UGH!!! There is so much to do and seems to be so little time to do it. So here’s my schedule:
April 2nd-5th, spring break, prom dress shopping, bowling and movies on Saturday, Saturday night Easter lock-in at the church. Sunday morning sunrise service, relax Sunday evening till Monday night then start homework.
April 10th, Gallatin’s Prom
April 16th-19, Snagging in Warsaw with the family
April 24th, Hamilton’s Prom
May 1st, first free weekend in a LONG TIME!!!!!!!!!!!

PROM:

PROM:
Well…prom…Gallatin’s prom, April 10th. Hamilton’s prom, April 24th.
Gallatin’s prom: the theme of Gallatin’s prom is “Hollywood”, and, of course, I am going with Terrill Wood :). We are going with all of his friends at school and their date. I have no idea where we’re going out to eat at but I do know that we are all riding in a stretched hummer limo! It cost $55 per couple and I am super stoked!!!
Hamilton’s prom: the theme of Hamilton’s prom is “masquerade”, and, of course again, Terrill Wood is my date…YAY:). So…the dress I would like to get and possibly will get cost $129 and is beyond gorgeous! It’s blue with a lot of silver decorations on it. That’s all I am going to say about that and if you want to see it you’re going to have to wait till prom…muaghahaha!
A really good slow dance for prom and your date…two is better than one by boys like girls featuring Taylor Swift:
I remember what you wore on the first day You came into my life and I thought "Hey, you know, this could be something"'Cause everything you do and words you say You know that it all takes my breath away And now I'm left with nothingSo maybe it's true That I can't live without you Maybe two is better than one There's so much time To figure out the rest of my life And you've already got me coming undone And I'm thinking two is better than oneI remember every look upon your face The way you roll your eyes The way you tasteYou make it hard for breathing'Cause when I close my eyes and drift away I think of you and everything's okayI'm finally now believingThat maybe it's true That I can't live without you Maybe two is better than one There's so much timeTo figure out the rest of my life And you've already got me coming undone And I'm thinking two is better than oneYeah, yeahI remember what you wore on the first day You came into my life and I thought, "Hey,"maybe it's true That I can't live without you Maybe two is better than one There's so much time To figure out the rest of my life And you've already got me coming undoneAnd I'm thinking I can't live without you 'Cause, baby, two is better than one There's so much time To figure out the rest of my life But I'll figure it out When all is said and done Two is better than one Two is better than one

Contemporary Writing
Summary of Wednesday’s assignment
Due March 9, 2010
Basically this whole thing is about the process of indexing. The essay talks about how as an indexer they will receive proof pages from the nonfiction text along with instructions on what the author or packager wants indexed. Some instructions may be an index only headings and subheadings, or index three to four entries per page, or index important names and events. How someone can become an indexer, usually when an indexing position is advertised, employers are not looking for people with a certain degree or a certain training certificate, although indexing courses are available. Instead, strong clerical skills and a good understanding of the topic are usually needed. How much the job pays is not an exact amount considering it is often gained as a freelance position as in the freelancer often sets the price. It states that in 1993 the average pay range for an indexer was between $20 and $25 per hour. To determine what today's rate should be you should multiply the current minimum wage by four to determine the low end of the pay scale for book indexing. Then it talks about a web content developer. With many and many of websites available for viewing, the position of web content developer is another twenty-first Century writing position that is in high demand, and it still has a relatively low profile. What a web content developer does really depend on the web site that is being developed. If the employee is working for an educational web site, the content development roles could include researching and developing articles, captions, and games that encourage learning or that are to develop certain academic skills. But, if you are developing content for a video game site, the roles are more likely to focus around a certain demographic that the games are targeted at, and have more technical writing involved.
ROSPONCE:
Truthfully I really had no interest in this article. Whenever I start working in my career I do not want to go into any reading or writing type of work. As in books, publishing, indexing, or blogging! I am sorry Mr. Fohl, but I don’t have a good response for something I did not enjoy reading except for the fact that I did not like it.

21st century writers
Summary:
Blog and assignment

Summary over Reading, Writing, and Publishing in the 21st Century.
Basically this is talking about how the internet in the past ten to fifteen years has changed dramatically with all age groups but mostly the age group of twelve to seventeen years old in the year two thousand six. It states that ninety-three percent of U.S. teens aged twelve to seventeen used the Internet in two thousand six; among them, sixty-four percent have created content, up from fifty-seven percent in two thousand four. Also, the reading talks about how the world has come to where the acts of thinking, writing, and publishing are different now days, and where charging money for editorial content is becoming an ever trickier proposition. Book publishers, newspapers and magazines, writers, and readers are experiencing these same popular trends in very different ways. For writers, this new way of the world means leaving newsrooms and going to the online world of blogs. Blogs and RSS is most popular where the most postings of news is more and more, traditional journalism practice is routinely looked down at, and the pay is modest. A popular blogger named Om Malik, senior writer for Business 2.0 magazine, report that the money from ad clicks related to their blog content is barely enough money to cover the cost of blogging.

My reflection from the reading:
After I have read this article, I found it to be very interesting that it stated that blogging is a big thing. Truthfully I believe blogging used to be a big thing and is not anymore. For example, MSN used to be huge with teens back when I was in seventh and eighth grade, but now facebook is the site that took over. So maybe MSN took over and became more popular that blogging. Of course people still use blogging but not as much. Sadly, I am blogging but I would rather much be on facebook or at least MSN. Now days I think that in a couple more years, twitter is going to be the bigger thing other than facebook. It’s just how society is conforming to the internet and new things. Now I do believe that online news and internet is taking over from books and what I call the old class experience. Today, anyone that can, and has access to, can get online and read almost any book that has been published and that is not exactly too recent. I think it is kind of sad how people rely so much on technology now days and some cannot survive out in the wild. It kind of makes me wonder, is this really God’s plan or are people becoming to materialistic and relying too much on the internet, cell phones, cars? Why can’t people just have a day without technology? It’s because lots of them would be too lost and go insane. To me, it is quite pathetic.

So…basically it’s just another boring average day here at Penney High. Only difference is the football players finally got their state rings in during lunch. Funny thing about that, the people/company who made the rings spelt our school name wrong. It’s spelt “Penney” they spelt it “Penny.” I am pretty sure our mascot is not Abraham Lincoln and our school color definitely is NOT copper…blue and gold people, get it right! Then I had my psychology class, a wonderful thing happened, NO QUIZ!! Also, we went through our first hypnosis exercise, that was interesting. Now I am sitting in contemporary writing feeling like I have no life because I am blogging! Honestly, I still hate it and I doubt ill ever learn to like it. So after school, I might be going to subway before our bus leaves for our basketball game tonight. Cold cut combo, classic. Perfect with the essential condiments, lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo, with a little bit of honey mustard. The only abnormal food I put on it are cucumbers, mmm. Then it’s on the bus and off to a long drive all the way to North Platte. I’m so not looking forward to the trip, but I’m totally ready to kick butt in the game!
Now I am running out of things to type about…STILL HATE BLOGGING!!! Why do people do this anyway? To me, I believe it is a complete waste of time when I could be doing some important homework for my English class. But no, I’m stuck on the computer boring whoever reads this. Mr. Fohl states that blogging is going to be the new BIG thing in about five years. I disagree. My reason, blogging has been around for quite some time and hardly any people that I know blog, ever. Another reason is because facebook is taking over. Why blog when you can pretty much do the same thing on facebook, you can tell people what you are doing, how you feel, or what is going on, and any of your “friends” can comment on whatever you post of the site. Also, you can’t forget how twitter is new and in about five years that will be the new big thing. All of this is just putting blogs and blogging in the shadows of all this other new internet communication.

Hattred
Never in my life would I have thought I would be sitting here on a computer blogging. I am totally opposed to do so because I have exactly ZERO interest for this, but hopefully I will learn to like it as I am forced to type in my writing class. So I guess I am supposed to write about anything…here it goes:
MY DAY:
After having long snowday with a canceled game yesterday, I got up this morning and was forced to ride the bus. With all the snow covering the back roads, still not plowed, the bus almost got stuck so we were late to school. Finally, got to school, and totally ready for basketball practice, which is right after school...so I thought. As I was walking through the hall, our water girl, who is also one of my best friends, asked me what time the bus left for tonights game. I looked at her with confusion, not knowing anything about a game. She told me the game got rescheduled for tonight and the bus left right after school at 3:10. I did not bring any of my game clothes like my jersey or my warmup….FML right? I had to call mom. Luckily she was nice enough to bring everything I needed for tonight. So far that’s all that has happened and it’s not that great of a day.
PS. I hate blogging!!!!!!
